Agreement That Committed The Signing Nations To A Postwar
On 11 December 1941, the same day as the German declaration of war in the United States and the Italian declaration, the three powers signed an agreement negotiated on 8 December, which prohibited a separate peace with the United States or Great Britain. It is «a propagandist accompaniment to the declaration of war». The three governments took note of the discussions that have taken place in recent weeks in London between British, American, Soviet and French representatives with a view to reaching agreement on the methods of trial of serious war criminals whose crimes have no particular geographical location, in accordance with the Moscow Declaration of October 1943. The three governments reaffirm their intention to bring these criminals to justice promptly and safely.
