BMW updates and makes its quintessential touring car, the R 1300 RT, more versatile.

BMW Motorrad has made a profound technological and ergonomic update to the R 1300 RT, now even more touring, but without abandoning a certain sporty spirit.

If we look at motorcycles touring that we have on the market BMW R 1300 RT It is one of its top representatives, a motorcycle from the German house that is now updated in various sections and also does so with greater versatility, and BMW has wanted its R 1300 RT to be a motorcycle both for long-distance trips and the perfect companion for occasional weekend outings or short routes.

Aesthetically, the new BMW R 1300 RT stands out for receiving the new full LED headlight which can optionally be replaced by the also new Faro Pro, which has a servomotor and a self-leveling system to maintain verticality at all times, among other functions. Behind this headlight and the new, aerodynamic screen is the 10,25-inch color TFT display with map navigation, a wide range of functions and the new Connectivity Hub to control accessories.

The arrival of this new front end has meant that the rest of the side fairing has been modified, although a large part of the blame for this is the new design applied to the semi-active chassis, which contributes to a significant improvement in the handling of the R 1300 RT. Within this cycle part we also find a nNew EVO Telelever front wheel guide with flexible element and new EVO Paralever rear wheel guide, which are joined by the new 17-inch wheels that contribute to a greater lightness of the set with 1,4 kilograms less weight compared to its predecessors. Along with these wheels, standard equipment includes dual-disc brakes with two four-piston fixed calipers on the front axle and a single disc with a two-piston floating caliper at the rear, combined with BMW Motorrad Integral ABS Pro.

As a good touring motorcycle, the BMW R 1300 RT comes equipped as standard with the following: side cases with a capacity of 27 liters each, although we can optionally choose for the first time the Vario suitcases adjustable in volume from 27 to 33 liters and with electric unlocking via central locking, interior lighting and a USB-C charging port inside the left trunk. Two additional charging ports are also available for increased loading capacity. 39 and 54 liter top cases capacity respectively, the latter having electric unlocking and the possibility of installing an electric heated backrest for the passenger.

On a mechanical level, the new BMW R 1300 RT continues to use a 1.300 CC boxer block exact with a power that is increased up to the 145 CV at 7.750 rpm compared to the 136 hp of the outgoing model, while the torque is also increased to 149 Nm at 6.500 rpm compared to the outgoing model's 143 Nm. It comes standard with three driving modes and the Automated Shift Assist (ASA) with automatic clutch activation and manual or automatic transmission. It also comes standard with driver assistance technologies such as Dynamic Cruise Control, Active Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and the new Rear Collision Warning.

The new BMW R 1300 RT with extensive standard equipment and a long list of accessories is now on sale in Spain, with prices starting from 24.680 Euros.
