The Kia Sportage is presented in Europe with a new look and previews its first details.

Kia renews one of its most important models and presents it for Europe: the new Sportage, which will arrive in the third quarter of 2025.
For Kia the Sportage It is one of its most important models, if not the first in the compact SUV market, something perfectly confirmed by the more than seven million units sold worldwide since its launch. Now Kia introduces the Sportage to the European market, one of the most important for this model, with a renewed image and technology.
We have already seen it in the latest presentations of the Korean brand and the new Sportage was not going to be an exception, adopting the new design language Opposites United from Kia, which translates into a completely renewed front end that combines smooth surfaces with soft lines along with other marks giving it a more robust and imposing presence.
We see how the grill tiger-nose Kia's features suffer slight design changes affected by everything that surrounds it, such as the new LED headlights which are presented with the distinctive "Star Map" light signature as well as a new bumper which at its bottom incorporates a new design for the air intake with more prominent trim at the ends. On the sides, they do not incorporate new wheel designs in 17, 18 and 19-inch sizes, the latter two for the GT-Line and GT-Line S finishes, and at the rear, the optical group presents a new design that serves to join and sharpen the width even more together with the new bumper.
Specifically, if we look at the interior, the GT-Line and GT-Line S trim levels will offer a more elegant interior thanks to the combination of black and white upholstery colors for the artificial leather and suede. In any case, all versions increases the comfort of your seats and innovative details such as the new steering wheel with a two-spoke design or hidden air vents for a sleek, minimalist look. It will also remain just as comfortable and spacious, as evidenced by the more than one meter of legroom in the rear row and the 587 liter trunk expandable to 1.776 liters if we fold down the seats, without forgetting the double floor in the trunk for the hybrid version.
At the technological level, the new Kia Sportage will stand out for its use of the two 12,3-inch curved panoramic displays or with a new Head-Up Display that now measures 10 inches, ensuring that all driver information and functions are easily identifiable at a glance. Connectivity will be enhanced with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, OTA updates, and the ability to incorporate systems such as a Wi-Fi hotspot for connecting up to five devices, a wireless charging pad, and a 360º Surround View with 3D viewing, among many others.
From the moment of its launch in Europe the new Kia Sportage will be available with an engine T-GDI gasoline composed of a 1.600 CC turbo block that delivers a power of 150 CV, which can be selected with a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, in both cases sending this power to the front axle. The other option will be the responsibility of the self-charging hybrid also in charge of the 1.600 CC T-GDI but thanks to the electric part it raises its power to 239 CV in a combined manner and, in this case, linked to a six-speed automatic transmission.
The new Kia Sportage is manufactured at the company's plant in Žilina, Slovakia, confirming that it will arrive at dealerships starting in the third quarter of 2025, so we have very little left to know the complete prices and equipment for the Spanish market.
