DGT environmental labels: online application and collection at an official dealership
The project by the Madrid Association of Car Dealers (AMDA) and DealerBest sets the price of the DGT environmental label at €5.50, similar to that offered by Correos.
The Madrid Association of Car Dealers (AMDA) and the consultancy DealerBest are launching an initiative to obtain environmental labels without having to visit an office in person. The project will allow vehicle owners to apply online for the DGT environmental label and then visit their official dealership to collect it.
Environmental labels at your dealership
Environmental labels have been available at Correos post offices since 1 December 2017, according to the DGT. Since this process began, the various Correos offices have handled the collection of applications and their subsequent delivery of the environmental sticker.
However, there has been no option to submit applications remotely. Now, the Madrid Association of Car Dealers (AMDA) and the consultancy DealerBest have launched a campaign to manage the application and subsequent collection of the environmental label online, at dealerships affiliated with AMDA, even if they do not work with the consultancy DealerBest.
The price set by Correos at the time was €5, which has not changed since its launch. The new proposal comes to €5.50
(VAT included), a price similar to that of the postal company.
To obtain the environmental label, users must send an email ([email protected]) attaching the driving licence and the holder’s ID card as scanned files. Once requested, the sticker can be collected at the official dealership.
This new initiative gives drivers greater convenience when applying for the environmental label. From now on, there will be no more long queues at Correos offices, and everything can be requested online, without having to keep to the opening hours of the nearest postal branches.
