Kinergy AS EV: Hankook's new tyre for electric cars
The Kinergy AS EV is presented as the perfect component for the next generation of electric vehicles. Less noise, for improved driving and comfort.
Hankook presents the Kinergy AS EV, the second generation of tyres for electric vehicles. With it, the aim is to achieve more dynamic behaviour, improved and reduced noise optimised for cutting-edge vehicles.
Electric technology has clear differentiating aspects compared with combustion. From faster initial acceleration to the absence of engine noise. Tyres are also a fundamental part of their architecture.
For electric vehicles to achieve optimal performance, they need tyres designed to complement these unique characteristics.

The Kinergy AS EV meets the increasingly demanding requirements of electric cars. They generate a very low level of noise, very comfortable driving and outstanding feel and handling like high-performance tyres.
Reducing tyre noise on an electric car is essential, especially considering that these vehicles generate hardly any engine sound, which makes the noise produced by the tyres much more noticeable.
The Kinergy AS EV guarantees maximum peace of mind by applying techniques that reduce the noise produced by the tyre and the road. It also uses technology to reduce the frequency generated during driving, through an optimised pitch distribution.

Another characteristic of electric cars is that they tend to be heavier than their combustion counterparts, so the tyres must be able to bear more load.
The Kinergy AS EV is manufactured with the best material currently available for tyres. Thanks to the Aramid Hybrid reinforcement belt, which uses an additional load-reinforcing structure, it minimises distortion of the tread block when changing direction, which provides optimal grip for strong driving performance and significantly improves stability.
The use of a compound called Aqua Pine, a vegetable oil that is environmentally friendly. This improves performance on wet surfaces, ensuring more agile handling and more optimal braking.
Hankook Tire plans to offer the best driving environment for consumers who prefer electric vehicles. The Kinergy AS EV will be available in Korea this year, and the global launch is well under way for next year.
