The Mitsubishi ASX has received a facelift at the front and rear, with the addition of a new grille and a new rear surround, along with redesigned lights. Available with the All Wheel Control system only for some models and two diesel engines, with one petrol engine.

Mitsubishi has presented a new 2013 edition, latest of its ASX SUV, this time with changes in design and with equipment and finishes reinforced by new components and new materials. The Japanese brand has embarked with a more dynamic design, better finishes and dynamic performance and more efficient mechanics.

The new range of the Mitsubishi ASX renews the design with a front that softens features and introduces a new grill more elegant and sophisticated. It also debuts new housings for the daytime running lights and fog lights, decorated on the sides by chrome details, while The front bumper has been redesigned and is now slimmer and more aerodynamic. The changes continue at the rear, where there is a new contour in the lower area, LED taillights and chrome exhaust tipsContinuing with the exterior improvements, the indicators integrated into the rearview mirrors are now continuous instead of the previous diodes.

The interior has also received changes, mostly with the New design leather multifunction steering wheel, and with a selector button for the 4WD system, which replaces the previous rotary control on the console. The system All Wheel Control It allows for several operating modes: in 2WD mode the front axle bears all the engine torque for agile driving and greater fuel economy; in 4WD mode the traction force is controlled to allow a progression in the transmission of torque and steering on dirt tracks or wet, snowy or slippery roads and in 4WD Lock mode: the torque in 4WD mode is transferred to the rear wheels in a ratio of 1,5 to improve off-road performance on low-grip surfaces.

The 2013 Mitsubishi ASX offer includes two diesel engines 200 DI-D and 180 DI-D, together with a 160 MPI gasoline engineThe 200 DI-D version develops 150 hp and 300 Nm of torque. It is associated with a 6-speed manual gearbox and records a combined fuel consumption of 5,5 l/100 km in the 2WD version, and 5,7 l/100 km if equipped with the 4WD transmission. The 180 DI-D version, available with 2WD transmission, delivers 116 hp and 270 Nm with the same 6-speed manual gearbox and achieves a combined fuel consumption of 5,5 l/100 km. The 160 MPI petrol is based on a 1,6-litre, 4-cylinder, 16-valve aluminium block with 117 hp and 5,9 l/100 km and 135 g/km of fuel consumption and emissions, respectively.
