The Peugeot and Citroën brands have been chosen to join the Sustainable Maintenance fleet of Parks and Gardens of Madrid, managed by ACCIONA.
Madrid has the plan Madrid 360, which seeks to preserve the air quality of the Spanish capital with serious traffic restrictions in the center. In addition, municipal vehicles that are responsible for the maintenance of parks and gardens They are mostly electric, to maintain the sustainability required by this project.
To improve the service, Acciona has benefited from a tender from the Madrid City Council, through which it will provide services of sustainable maintenance of parks and gardens. To do this, it will have a fleet of electric vehicles that will provide service in this task in the city. These will be Stellantis commercial vehicles, which have been provided by Stellantis.

The total number of electric vehicles that will be part of ACCIONA's fleet to carry out this maintenance will be made up of 55 units of various models of brands belonging to the group. At the moment, they have been delivered 31 units of Peugeot E-Partner, E-Rifter and E-Expert, and 24 units of the Citroën ë-Berlingo and the new ë-C3.
Commercial vehicles Peugeot E-Partner, E-Rifter, E-Expert y Citroen ë-Berlingo They offer a rather interesting capacity to perform freight transport jobs, making them ideal for maintenance work in gardens and parks in the capital. All of them offer an interesting autonomy, thanks to the battery they are equipped with. They can offer an autonomy of up to 350 kilometres according to the WLTP cycle.
The other electric model that has been delivered for this electric fleet is the Citroen ë-C3, which has become one of the benchmarks for electric urban models since its launch. It has a battery that allows it to achieve a range of up to 300 kilometres, also according to the WLTP cycle.
All these vehicles will begin to provide service as soon as the bidding period begins and It will be easy to see them circulating around Madrid and helping park and garden maintenance workers make the city more sustainable.
