Renault e-Plain Air, this is the retro concept powered by the Renault Twizy powertrain

This cute concept is called Renault e-Plain Air and pays tribute to the historic 4L International rally. It is powered by the Twizy's drivetrain.
Renaultt wanted to pay tribute to the 4L International and has presented a modern version of the Outdoors, is called Renault e-Plain Air and is a concept that was born as a result of a collaboration between Renault Classic and Renault Design. Melun Retro Passion, which specialises in parts for French classic vehicles from Alpine, Citroën, Peugeot and Renault, has also participated in this project.
The diamond brand has not said much about this new concept, but has noted that it has a modernized design and is powered by the electric powertrain of the Renault Twizy. While the automaker has been coy on specifics, a concept with a retro-inspired design that looks a lot like the original.
Despite this, the Renault e-Plein Air has been fitted with a fully enclosed grille that appears to be made of white plastic. The model also has aTwo-tone seats and a modified rear cabin which appears to house a battery or an electric motor. Whatever lies beneath, the rear is fitted with a wicker basket held in place by two leather straps.

Although the exact specifications are not known at the moment, the Renault Twizy is available with two powertrain options. On the one hand there is the Renault Twizy 45 which has a 6,1 kWh battery which sends energy to an electric motor that develops 5 HP and 33 Nm of maximum torque. These figures allow the model to have a range of 100 kilometres on a single charge and reach a maximum speed of 45 km/h.
The mainstream Renault Twizy uses a much more powerful electric motor than develops 17 hp and 57 Nm of torque maximum. Thanks to the additional boost, the electric car can reach a maximum speed of 80 km/h.
The French brand wanted to celebrate the tenth anniversary of 4L International, a historic rally that brings together all the Renault 4L y Renault Relay, although it is also open to classic Renaults. It was held this past weekend and the people at Renault did not want to miss it, presenting this prototype on Twitter.
It is important to note that the Plein Air body was born in the spring of 1968. It was a conversion that started from a Renault 4/4L conventional which was conveniently cut and adapted by the company Sinpar SA, belonging to the Renault group. Until 1971, Sinpar bodied 563 units of the Renault 4/4L Plein Air.
Inside, you can see original components from the Renault 4, the classic umbrella-type gear lever on the dashboard, the steering wheel or the satellites. What does change is the dashboard, which is inherited directly from the Renault Twizy and is completely digital. The seats in two-tone white and blue upholstery provide the modern and electric touch This neo-retro version has had the rear seats and hood removed to make room for the battery and powertrain.
