Seat e-Mii: Seat's best kept secret

Seat has unveiled, almost by chance, an ace up its sleeve that it could pull out if conditions are right. We're referring to the Seat e-Mii , which was revealed on none other than the Catalan television channel TV3, in a rather unorthodox way, as you'll see.

Until now, the most eco-friendly version of the Mii we'd seen was the ECOfuel version presented in Geneva. But this is the first time we've seen the e-Mii as an electric version . According to what's been revealed on TV, mechanically the e-Mii features the same electric powertrain as the e-Up!, with an 82-horsepower motor, capable of reaching a top speed of 130 km/h and having a range of 150 kilometers.

However, the Seat e-Mii has remained a secret until now and has not been presented at the Barcelona Motor Show , as would have been the "politically correct" thing to do. The reason for this decision is that Seat did not want to create false expectations by showing it at a motor show when they don't even know when the appropriate conditions will be to put it on sale.

And the fact is, almost none of these conditions have been met to date . More electric vehicles are needed, as is greater demand, more charging points, and a stronger commitment to their development. Without these conditions being met, investing in a new model like the e-Mii would be very risky at the moment , but hopefully, we'll see some definitive developments in the coming months.
