Shocking accident involving a Nissan Murano on the motorway
Traffic accidents are sometimes unavoidable: bad luck or incalculable external conditions can influence the outcome. However, the Nissan Murano at the centre of today’s accident was asking for trouble…
Accidents like the one we are about to see usually happen because of distracted drivers, who are on their phone, or because they fail to properly judge their speed in relation to the safe following distance they keep from the other vehicle.
In the accident we are looking at today, the determining factor appears to be recklessness combined with driver distraction. Before watching it, we warn you that the images may be shocking:

As we can see in the video, the Nissan Murano drives past a sign warning that the left lane is closed due to roadworks, yet it seems the driver ignored these warnings.
Later, the same vehicle, lacking patience, attempts a reckless overtake on the left-hand lane, passing a lorry without realising there was no room and that the lane was closing.

In the end the outcome is predictable: by cutting the gap between itself and the lorry to the bare minimum, instead of braking in time, it decides to try its luck at the last moment, and the only final consequence is a loss of control and a heavy collision with another lorry that was occupying the right-hand lane.
Fortunately the accident was not fatal and, although the occupants of the Nissan were injured, they appear to be recovering without complications.
This accident serves as an example to avoid this typical risky situation that we have seen more than once on the roads: squeezing through a lane that is closing is never a good idea.

Another of the most surprising aspects of the incident is the calm of the amateur videographer responsible for recording these images. His tone of voice reveals genuine tranquillity while he keeps up a phone conversation and avoids the impact.
