2012 Shelby GT500 Super Snake Need For Speed

If you’re still raving about the latest game in the Need For Speed series, now comes the turn to do the same with the latest news from Electronic Arts, the company behind the development of the video game series, which has apparently teamed up with Shelby American to create a one-of-a-kind Mustang.

As expected, the vehicle chosen has been the Shelby GT500 Super Snake, the most brutal version of the famous muscle car which, as expected, will not only be customized but will also be an exact replica of the model seen on the game’s cover. Naturally, before being auctioned, it will travel around the world to showcase the game at various promotional events.

If you’re interested in this attractive muscle car, you still have plenty of time to save, since the auction won’t take place until late 2012. The proceeds from the event will go towards helping the Carroll Shelby Foundation, an organization whose aim is to help children, young people and adults with serious illnesses so they can pursue higher education.

As for the vehicle itself, it will naturally retain the same supercharged 5.4-litre V8, which, instead of the standard 660 horsepower, will be tuned to deliver an outrageous 800 horsepower. As a point of reference, the auction’s starting price is estimated to be $83,000.
