A luxury SUV is coming soon, thanks to Rolls-Royce's Cullinan

The SUV market is clearly on the rise. Many drivers want to get behind the wheel of one of the off-roaders on the market. There are options for every taste, small models, mid-size models and large models that take on any terrain. Some are well equipped, but others have outstanding equipment and belong to the segment we know as Premium. But above all of them will be the SUV with the mark of luxury stamped into its DNA.
Because when a brand like Rolls-Royce sets out to build an SUV, we can expect a truly luxurious vehicle. The Cullinan Project is ready to make its appearance, and it will be a Rolls-Royce prepared to move over any kind of terrain. A car with considerable ground clearance and, for the first time in one of its models, all-wheel drive.

The images accompanying this article are not spy photos; the brand itself has released them so that we can look forward to this model, even though it is conveniently disguised and we cannot see its real shape. It is not the first time this model has been seen on British roads, but earlier versions looked more like a slightly bulkier Phantom. This version already comes closer to what we can think of as the almost definitive model.
It is still a Rolls, as we can see, but its proportions are larger. According to Torsten Müller-Ötvös, the company’s CEO, the Cullinan Project is moving forward and they have managed to combine the platform with all-wheel drive and the most appealing luxury. In fact, what they aim for is that, from the car’s launch onwards, this will be the standard against which all other luxury SUVs are measured.
We still need to see how Rolls-Royce will resolve the rear, so that the whole ensemble makes a difference, and the style of the model also lies in that part. Let us also remember that this new platform will not only be the basis for the new SUV, but will also be the foundation on which the rest of Rolls-Royce’s models will be built from 2018 onwards.
