A Rolls Royce with a surfboard?
Many of us imagine multiple ways to take our surfboard to the beach, but you’ve surely never seen this on an exclusive Rolls Royce…
Surfing is associated with rebellion, the hippie movement, a carefree life, high-risk sports, but certainly not with luxury. Vehicles such as a Jeep, or a classic camper van, are the most typical for this kind of activity.
Rolls Royce, however, has surprised us all with these photos, where we can see one of its models with a surfboard fixed to a roof rack on its roof.

It seems the surfing craze is spreading among luxury brands. Tesla has also joined this trend; in fact, we recently showed you the exclusive surfboard this company has designed in this article.

Without a doubt, this is not something you see every day. In fact, if we asked people who have been surfing for more than a decade, I’m sure that practically none of them would claim to have seen anyone arrive at the beach with their surf gear in a Rolls Royce. As strange as it may seem, this is what this company is showing on the European coasts of France and Spain this summer, alongside its exclusive surfboard.

The board was handcrafted in the United Kingdom by a company called Woodpop at Rolls Royce’s request. It is built from exclusive Paulownia wood, decorated with a Sycamore wave, and Birch marquetry and 24-carat gold distributed across the design. Certainly a board that fits like a glove with the exclusive luxury vehicle brand.
This Rolls Royce with the board on its roof, along with other models such as the Cullinan, Phantom or Dawn Adams, could be seen at the Carlton Intercontinental Hotel in France. Now Rolls Royce will take these vehicles to Andalusia, to the exclusive “La Reserva” golf club in early September.

Rolls Royce regional director Julian Jenkins commented: “Rolls Royce is proud to truly understand the lifestyle of its clients.”
We don’t know how this strange bet that luxury companies have been making recently with this sport will turn out, but if you are going to surf with a Rolls Royce, you certainly won’t go unnoticed. That said, we can’t guarantee the car will remain intact after a long session at the beach.
