Aston Martin promises the new Vantage V12 Roadster for Geneva

Aston Martin schedules the presentation of its new Vantage V12 Roadster for the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, an event to be held in March next year

According to the latest statements from none other than Ulrich Bez, CEO of Aston Martin no less, the Geneva Motor Show has been chosen as the event to unveil to the public the new Aston Martin Vantage V12 Roadster, a gorgeous roadster with a fabric roof that, just like the coupé version, will feature a massive 517-hp V12.

Without a doubt, even before its unveiling, I would dare say it will be one of the most attractive and impressive vehicles in the current range of Aston Martin. So it would be best to start marking the month of March on our calendars, since many exclusive presentations are promised in Geneva.

Now, personally I am one who praises the integrity and boldness that Aston Martin showed at the time when it broke away from Ford, one of the greatest manufacturers on the planet, which, like other supercar companies, would have injected a huge amount of money into new developments.

I say this because, as you will surely know if you follow the English company, all of its current models are based on the same modular aluminium platform that will still carry supercars for one more generation. This platform was in fact created with the DB9 and Vantage in mind, models that were followed by the incredible DBS, Rapide and Virage, with which Aston Martin has managed to recover in terms of investment, but which may be too similar, especially for a company of this standing.
