Aston Martin Superleggera: The most radical version of the British supercar
The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera combines power and lightness, while keeping the elegance that has always characterised it.
The new Aston Martin DBS Superleggera arrives with a bang, a clear contender in the high-end sports car category. The British brand presents a supercar that aims to evoke the historical legacy of the Aston Martin, combining it with cutting-edge design and engineering.
The result is a car with its own personality that moves a little away from the traditional look of Aston Martin’s recent creations, giving it a more aggressive touch while keeping the classic lines in the design that characterise the brand’s elegance.
What lies under the bonnet of the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera?
Setting aside that its design will win over almost everyone, the DBS Superleggera offers 715 horsepower generated by a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine, with incredible thrust thanks to its 900 Nm of torque. Its top speed is 340 km/h, and it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, or reach 200 km/h from a standstill in 6.4 seconds, a figure that many compact sports cars cannot even get halfway to. We are, quite clearly, looking at a true monster in its class, competing directly with cars from the same range such as the Ferrari 812 Superfast or the Bentley Continental GT Speed. A genuine supercar that we will have to see in action on a circuit to determine the lap times it is capable of producing.

The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera sets out to get the most out of its engine. That is why they have paid particular attention to its sound, creating a four-exhaust system that produces a more expressive and distinctive note. In the words of Matt Becker (Chief Engineer at Aston Martin): “We don’t just want it to sound louder, we want the sound it makes to be of quality.”
Aston Martin once again champions elegance in one of its most iconic models. Its meticulously detailed interior stands out for a sporty yet comfortable look, using materials of the highest quality. The aromatic leather fitted as standard, or the Sports Plus performance pack for the seats and steering wheel, add the distinctive touch. Attention to detail is outstanding, and it comes very well equipped with features such as keyless entry, live tyre pressure monitoring, a 360-degree camera parking system, and parking assist.

Aimed at buyers coming from earlier models such as the Aston Martin Vanquish, or those who want a Ferrari but prefer something more discreet, the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera will reach the British market at a starting price of £225,000 (€255,000) in early 2019.
