A roadster version of the recently unveiled Vantage was recently spotted and, according to dealer reports, the car will be launched early next year.

The Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster is expected to use a roof similar to that of its predecessor, with the modifications needed to keep the car a high-performance sports car.

The engine chosen could be the one used in the
Aston Martin DBS Volante, which can be paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, as well as a Touchtronic paddle-shift transmission.

Other features that could be included are a new limited-slip differential, a new power-assisted steering system and a new exhaust system with carbon fibre tubes.

In short, we will have to wait until next year for more details on this prototype; in the meantime, enjoy the images.
