Bamboo resin, a viable alternative to carbon fiber?

It’s no secret that all manufacturers, especially those that build supercars, invest enormous amounts of money in the search for lightweight and strong materials.
Specifically, today I want to show you the idea of a manufacturer that has just come up with the idea of replacing parts that until now were made of carbon fiber without any debate with others made of bamboo fiber woven with plant resin, a material far less expensive than carbon fiber and not as heavy as fiberglass.
As a detail, it’s worth noting that this material is already being used in the surfboard industry, as well as by prominent figures such as Greg Abbott, a man who spends his days converting combustion vehicles into electric ones, who dares to claim that in the not-too-distant future many electric cars will use bamboo to build their chassis since, according to Abbott himself, this material is strong enough to sit midway between fiberglass and carbon fiber.
Thinking of bamboo as an element for manufacturing certain parts of the car, we have to think of a material that is sufficiently hard and light, whose cultivation is fast and easy to obtain, which makes it very cheap to source. Specifically, bamboo is used for everything from flooring to textiles, from paper to water treatment. What do you think of this new idea?
