Bentley Continental Flying Spur, first images

With just one day to go before the official launch of the Bentley Continental Flying Spur, the first images of both the exterior and interior of this English luxury saloon have leaked. The 2013 version of this saloon will be officially presented to the public at the Geneva Motor Show, after it was first revealed online on 20 February.

The saloon, as in previous generations, is based on the Continental GT, so the similarities, mainly on the exterior, with the coupé are more than notable. Compared with the model currently on sale, the 2013 Flying Spur has received small changes at the front and in the cabin interior.

The biggest changes to this Bentley are concentrated at the rear of the vehicle, where the light clusters sit horizontally above a more elegant and understated boot. The roofline and doors have also been updated.

Overall, the saloon adopts a sportier silhouette, accompanied by a better-finished interior, as well as modern technology including a new infotainment system.

Pending official confirmation from the brand itself, the latest rumours suggest two different engines will be available. The entry-level variant would feature a 4.0-litre V8 capable of delivering 510 CV, while the top of the range would remain the 6.0-litre W12, which would be tuned for this occasion to produce up to 625 CV in the Speed variant.

All of them will be paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and a permanent all-wheel-drive system.
