Bentley Continental GT Mulliner Convertible: available with V8 or W12

The Mulliner division of Bentley has announced its new Continental GT Mulliner Convertible. The ultimate in luxury from the British family.
With the Geneva Motor Show just around the corner, Bentley has released the first information and images of one of its most luxurious models. We now know all its new features, but it will not be until the Swiss event that we can see it officially for the first time.

The British have created this luxurious car to appeal to those who notice the true details. On the exterior, this new Continental GT Mulliner Convertible features a new Double Diamond front grille, complemented by a radiator grille filled with diamond-shaped designs. The muscular figure of this model is accentuated by the painted and polished 10-spoke wheels, measuring no less than 22 inches.

Its Double Diamond design is also carried over to the interior, where it adorns the four seats and the door panels, among other details. The seat upholstery is designed with contrasting stitching in two complementary colours to accentuate the thread against the padding. According to the British, almost 400,000 stitches are needed to carry this upholstery throughout the cabin. The embroidery process took 18 months.

The centre console has also been designed using a blend of traditional and modern techniques. The diamond contrast finish has been applied, and it features the new and exclusive silver Breitling clock. The same design carries over to the digital instrument cluster. Its bodywork will be available in 61 colours, as customers will be able to specify a shade tailored to the handcrafted paintwork of Bentley.

Several engines available for the Continental GT Mulliner Convertible

This model will be available with the V8 and W12 engines from Bentley. With the 4-litre twin-turbo V8, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 318 km/h. The 6-litre twin-turbo W12, however, delivers staggering figures: a top speed of 333 km/h and a 0-100 km/h time of 3.7 seconds…

In a couple of weeks the Geneva Motor Show will kick off. The 3 March date has been set by all brands to launch their new models ahead of the show’s opening on 5 March. That is when we will see the new Bentley Continental GT Mulliner Convertible in the flesh for the first time.
