Bentley reduces production

The weak sales of the brand in the North American market have led the British company to take some preventive measures to keep its growth stable.
The reason for the weak sales can be explained as the combination of fuel prices, carbon taxes and a new trend related to the image of luxury cars, as people become more and more reluctant to be seen in exorbitant vehicles in an environment whose ideology is changing.
Bentley has found itself needing to ask a third of its workers at the Crewe factory in the United Kingdom to work only three days a week with the sole aim of reducing production by 15%, but unlike other companies, they will be paid their full salary.
The cutback will slow sales of the Arnage and Azure models at least until the lean period ends, which according to the company could possibly be until early next year.
This is an interesting contrast given the company’s situation last year, although it will be difficult for the reduction to affect its profits since its current production remains impressive.
