Bosch develops an anti-hacker key
Bosch’s anti-hacker key is called Perfectly Keyless and will be able to control the vehicle through a smartphone app.
For many users it is already common not to need a physical key to access their vehicle; on some models, even though it is not needed to start the engine, the driver must at least carry it on them. From now on, this will no longer be necessary, as Bosch has developed a new application called Perfectly Keyless.
The new Bosch app is installed on smartphones and, thanks to a system fitted in the vehicle, the two connect via a wireless network. The vehicle in question must be equipped with a receiver capable of detecting only and exclusively the owner of the model. Of course, this only works as long as the owner is within two metres of the car.

Once both systems have been synchronised, a personalised digital code is generated that works as a digital key specific to each owner. In this way, several codes can be generated, allowing different people to access the vehicle without having the physical key on hand.
The new Bosch Perfectly Keyless app not only lets the user unlock the car, but also start the engine, drive it and even adjust vehicle components such as the seats or the rear-view mirrors. It is important to note that if the smartphone is lost, the password can be changed via the internet, so access to the car can still be controlled. In addition, the digital key can also be cancelled and the car used only in the conventional way.
