Cadillac recalls its SRX

It seems we are in an era in which it is rare for brands not to call back one or several of their models to pass through the workshop, amicably and free of charge, due to some manufacturing defect. In this case, and as you can read in the title of this post, it is the turn of the Cadillac SRX 2010.
Truth be told, it is particularly striking that a recently launched model has to go to the workshop; whether through carelessness or not, this will cost Cadillac the recall of no fewer than 3,996 vehicles, which apparently have problems with the steering that, something very common these days, can cause the vehicle to catch fire.
This recall originated from the case of a Cadillac SRX that suffered a leak in the power steering system, which resulted in the vehicle catching fire because a highly flammable fluid leaked onto certain hot parts of the engine.
General Motors has already hurried to call all the units in for inspection and to point out, especially regarding this last point, that because of this problem no accidents or injuries have yet been reported, although it admits that, in addition to the aforementioned fire, the leak can cause a loss of control of the vehicle.
