Chinese women crazy about supercars

Undoubtedly something as curious as it is true. Everyone knows that the number of Chinese millionaires is growing exponentially every month, which is undoubtedly excellent news for all those luxury car manufacturers who had watched their sales drop sharply because of the crisis.
Well, it seems that the major makers of “supercars” are making their particular August because, for example in China, sales rose by 60% last year, a percentage that is expected to grow by 35% more by 2011.
Now, where do Chinese women fit into all this? Well, basically all of them like good cars; for example, Maserati sold 30% of its total worldwide vehicles to Chinese women last year, figures that surely do not go unnoticed by any manufacturer.
If instead of Maserati we set out to talk about other brands such as Ferrari and Lamborghini, the figures are much more spectacular, since they simply devour them like hot cakes compared with other markets, something that is certainly very eye-catching around here. As a fact, sales of Ferrari to Chinese women double the average sales to women in the rest of the world.
