Citroën updates the Type H van alongside Le Coq Sportif and compares it with the new Jumpy
Citroën wants to pay tribute to the Type H on the 70th anniversary of its launch with a concept model alongside Le Coq Sportif for sporting events

It has only been a few days since we had the chance to see a model of the Citroën Type H van, created by designers outside the brand, which turned a current model into an identical replica using fibreglass panels. Now the brand itself is bringing it back, 70 years after its launch, thoroughly refreshed and prepared for use at sporting events.
It does so in partnership with Le Coq Sportif, a French sportswear brand joining forces with the carmaker. The model keeps the spirit of the original vehicle but has been reworked so it can be used today without problems, with slight changes to its exterior looks and interior equipment to make it more efficient and practical, even if only symbolically.

The model being presented features the brand’s own colours, which match those of the French flag and, following the sporting theme, it is a mobile bike workshop . It has been prepared so that it can also become a clothing shop at sporting events. In this way it aims to show that it can be used in any situation, both for transport and for other commercial purposes that can reach any location.
However, this is a concept model, which serves to present the new New Dispatch, known in Spain as the Jumpy, which will actually be presented at the Commercial Vehicle Show, one of the events for this type of vehicle taking place next week in Birmingham, United Kingdom. This new model wears the colours of the restyled Type H, and this unit, equipped to attend these promotional events, will accompany the other van to pay tribute to the classic model and show the evolution of the brand’s commercial vehicles. What do you think of the comparison between the classic and the modern?
