Climbkhana 2: Brutal drifting up Tianmen Mountain
Ken Block has done it again. Following the famous Gymkhana series, he delights us with Climbkhana. Brutal drifts are guaranteed.
Gymkhana was one of the series that propelled Ken Block’s fame to unimaginable heights. Over 10 episodes it was all about drifting through iconic locations such as the streets of San Francisco or the iconic Los Angeles.

With the final episode, everyone thought Ken Block would leave this kind of content behind, but he delighted all the fans with a new series, Climbkhana. Here the drifts are still the order of the day; however, the goal is to climb the most incredible mountain passes in the world in the way only Ken knows how…
In this episode 2, the star location is the famous Tianmen Mountain in China. This mountain pass is the dream of many petrolheads, and having the chance to do it with the monstrous car built to perform hundreds of drifts like Ken Block’s, is priceless.

The Hoonitruck is the vehicle Ken selected for this brutal feat. This modified monster features a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost engine producing 914 CV of power. In fact, it’s an engine derived from the iconic Ford GT that won Le Mans.
As you can imagine, Ken’s goal was not to set a new record for the climb, which covers a route of 10.9 kilometres, rising up to 1,100 metres.

Ken’s main objective, as always, is to give us a spectacle built on drifts, impossible slides and guaranteed entertainment with daring manoeuvres and stunts willing to risk their necks… And believe us, he achieves it in spades.
In the 9-minute video, Ken Block delights us alongside his Hoonitruck with a display of impossibly tight drifts, aggressive manoeuvres and incredible stunts as he climbs the impressive mountain pass.

Anyone who had the chance to enjoy a road as beautiful and technical as this one to have fun drifting with a good rear-wheel-drive car… All that’s left is to thank the editors of the video and the entire staff involved, as well as the full cast who brought us this wonderful episode 2 of Climbkhana. We hope many more follow.
