Could Aston Martin name its new hypercar Valhalla!

Aston Martin draws on Viking mythology to name its new and long-awaited hypercar Valhalla. The name refers to one of the Viking paradises, the final destination of many warriors after death.

It seems Norse mythology is more fashionable than ever. Besides appearing in many blockbusters and modern television series, Viking culture could become a bet that carries the name of the new hypercar from Aston Martin, the Valhalla.

Apart from the already real project of the English manufacturer, Valkyrie (Valkiria), a name, incidentally, also belonging to Norse mythology that refers to deities who served the god Odin, Valhalla seems to be the definitive name that will carry the new and ambitious hypercar from Aston Martin.

It sounds like a brilliant and fitting name for a car of these characteristics. Besides being directly related to the Valkyries, as these deities carried the souls of the fallen to Valhalla. Marketing or coincidence?

Other luxury sports brands such as Koenigsegg also seem to favour using references to Nordic culture. Not to mention, its next project is called Ragnarok, a name that symbolises the end of days or the apocalypse of the Viking world. Something like our “Judgement Day”.

Although it may be little, details like these, especially considering the clear marketing strategy behind them, can generate excitement and positive publicity so that people talk about this new car.

Apart from this project, the English manufacturer also seems to be working on a new model that aims to carve out a place in the market for more “affordable” supercars, dominated by the Ferrari 488, Lamborghini Huracán or the McLaren 720S.

For our part, we highlight that, judging by the design the hypercar is expected to have and its daring and modern lines, Valhalla is a name that suits it perfectly to stand out in the exclusive market of elite sports cars.
