Dongfeng unveils its Nammi 06 electric SUV at the Shanghai Auto Show
With the Nammi 06, Dongfeng expands its range of electric vehicles, with its main appeal being an exceptionally competitive price.
The Shanghai Auto Show has been the stage chosen by Chinese manufacturer Dongfeng to officially reveal to the public its new compact electric SUV, the Nammi 06, practically coinciding with the opening of the order books on the local market. Although this model will initially be sold exclusively in China, it seems quite likely that it will eventually reach the European market too.
The Nammi 06 is the second model from the Nammi sub-brand created by Dongfeng, and it sits one step above the Nammi Box, also known as the Nammi 01 in some markets, which has been on sale in Europe since last year.

As we already told you here at HighMotor, Dongfeng announced the future launch of the Nammi 06 last February. The Chinese manufacturer applied at that time for a sales licence in China for this compact SUV, which measures 4.3 metres in length, stating that its starting price would be around 100,000 yuan, which at the current exchange rate comes to roughly 12,000 euros.
Technical specifications
This model features an electric motor producing 135 kW on the front axle, enabling a top speed of 150 km/h, paired with a Mach E battery pack with 3C charging capability, which equates to around 100 km of range gained in 5 minutes of charging. Likewise, the state of charge can be raised from 30 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes. Dongfeng has not, however, revealed specific details about the capacity of this battery pack.
As for the exterior design of the Nammi 06, its angular lines, closed front grille and elements typical of a compact SUV stand out, such as the black wheel arches. This model will be available in six paint colours: Wave White, Silver, Support Orange, Wild Green, Paint Yellow and Cyber Black.

Inside, there is no shortage of a floating central touchscreen, along with a digital instrument cluster. It also features 50 W wireless charging for mobile devices, a panoramic sunroof and folding seats that can lie completely flat. It is also worth noting that the Nammi 06 is equipped with various driver assistance technologies, such as navigation with memory for motorways and cities, reversing back along a route already driven, and parking assistance.
