eBay: Lexus LFA for sale

Personally, I find it curious how increasingly common it is to see vehicles like the Lexus LF-A for sale on sites such as eBay, even though the people behind this well-known auction portal have a page dedicated exclusively to the motoring world.

But if this is curious, what is even more striking is that they put up for sale a Lexus LF-A, a vehicle that, as we understood it, when you bought a Lexus made you sign a contract under which you could not sell your car during its first two years of life, a decision that precisely prevented all kinds of speculation.

Well, according to the dealer selling this work of art on wheels, painted in an exclusive lead colour to match the upholstery in the cabin, it comes with a surprise “under the wings” in the form of a contract. In other words, once you buy the vehicle you will be made to sign the same contract as all other buyers, so during the first two years you will not be able to get rid of your vehicle if you don’t like it.

But… how can they sell a used car and make you sign that infamous contract? Apparently, the trick is that once the original buyer received his unit and tried it out in person, he said he didn’t want it and wasn’t going to keep paying the “instalments” imposed by Lexus, let alone the final payment.

Even so, if you can afford it, you may be facing a unique opportunity to get your hands on a limited-edition Lexus LF-A whose production sold out completely a long time ago.
