Electric vehicle plugs are under discussion: the same for everyone

The European association of electric vehicle manufacturers wants brands to establish uniformity in the type of plugs fitted to each of the electric models on sale. The idea is that travel from country to country within the European Union should not be hindered by the different types of charging points and plugs for each vehicle.
This idea is one of the factors that could help speed up electric car sales somewhat, which have been quite depressed until now, according to the union of manufacturers. For the moment, the brands do not plan to act so quickly, since the agreement will provide for changes to be made in the shortest possible time, while the brands want the system to be unified, but by the year 2017.
Imagine that if it is already difficult to adapt to the idea of being able to cover only a few kilometres on electricity, the prospect of not finding charging points that work with every electric model makes things even harder. The goal that all charging points can be used with all vehicles will undoubtedly be a strong boost for electric car sales.
