Hummer tornado chaser

Curious image of the black Hummer H2 that heads the post. It’s not a tuned Hummer, far from it: it is dedicated to chasing tornadoes literally. It is equipped with sophisticated electronics that allow it to receive weather conditions via satellite every six minutes.
Kathy and Phil Henry are the lucky owners of such a varied Hummer, and they lead a team made up of storm chasers, both amateur and professional. The others have to make do with Dodge Durango, Ford Explorer and Jeep.
The off-roader has a mobile broadband connection, satellite phone and even a laptop where the passenger airbag should be. In this way they are permanently receiving all the latest news regarding the weather. They indicate that the odometer showed more than 180,000 kilometres, most of them, I suppose, spent chasing storms and, more specifically, tornadoes.
