Hyundai Santa Fe 2018: what can we expect from the new SUV from Hyundai?
The fourth generation of the Hyundai Santa Fe, which will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, gains size, space and equipment to compete with premium SUVs.
Hyundai has already revealed the first official images of the new Hyundai Santa Fe, which will see the light of day in March at the Geneva Motor Show 2018. And from what we know so far, keep an eye on the large SUV from the Korean brand, because it promises many improvements to become one of the best options in its class.
To begin with, in cars that, as the saying goes, “catch the eye”, Hyundai had no doubts about applying to this large SUV with up to seven seats some of the design features debuted on the Hyundai Kona. Between the new design with the enormous grille as the star feature and the increase in size – the length rises to 4.77 metres, also increasing the wheelbase – the fourth generation of the Hyundai Santa Fe will arrive in summer to “compete” with the Skoda Kodiaq, Nissan X-Trail or Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace.

But also, why not, to become an alternative to the entry-level versions among premium compact SUVs. To that end, the new Hyundai Santa Fe is also updated in terms of equipment, with new driver assistance systems integrated into its SmartSense technology package. As for engines, pending confirmation, the bet in our market will remain on diesels, with the current 4-cylinder CRDi units of 2 and 2.2 litres, thoroughly revised. Later on, a plug-in hybrid version could arrive.
