Jeep Wrangler 2018: first images of the renewed off-roader
The new Jeep Wrangler will be officially unveiled at the Motor Show to be held next December.
The new generation of the Jeep Wrangler is just around the corner. At the upcoming Los Angeles Motor Show, which kicks off on December 1, the latest edition of this American off-roader will be presented. It is a historic model that arrives with a more modern approach, but without losing sight of the philosophy that has accompanied it to date. It is one of the few pure off-roaders left on the market. Its origins date back to 1987, when Jeep decided to launch an off-roader based on a military vehicle from the 1940s. We do not yet know all the details of the new Wrangler, but we already have the first high-resolution images of the renewed off-roader.

The Jeep Wrangler is a model of vital importance to the interests of the FCA group. The American off-roader brings a considerable volume of sales to the Italian-American manufacturer, but above all it is a key model in defining the identity of Jeep as a brand. FCA does not seem willing to revolutionize the image of a brand as well accepted as Jeep, and for that reason the new Wrangler retains the basic pillars that have always characterized it.

The most significant change in the new Wrangler is found in the design of its cabin. The interior now offers a much more modern look, and for the first time incorporates a touchscreen of up to 8.4 inches.

Thanks to the leak of the owner’s manual that took place a few days ago, we know some details about this off-roader’s mechanicals. The new Wrangler will be available with two petrol engines: a 2-litre four-cylinder unit and a 3.6-litre V6. These engines will be paired with either a manual gearbox or an automatic transmission with torque converter.
