Jimny is discontinued in Europe
No more Suzuki Jimny will be sold in Europe. This has been confirmed by the Japanese manufacturer in recent statements.
The Suzuki Jimny, arguably the best option for getting an authentic 4×4 on the market, will no longer be sold in Europe. Suzuki has confirmed this news in recent statements.
Very bad news
Suzuki has confirmed that sales of the Suzuki Jimny will end in Europe in 2020. Only very limited units will continue to be sold in England throughout 2020. Of course Suzuki will deliver every order placed before the official withdrawal of the model.

This is bad news for everyone who was interested in buying a Suzuki Jimny.
The reason it is being withdrawn from the European market lies mainly in the new emissions standards, which will be significantly tightened in 2021, and models like the Jimny could end up generating losses for the manufacturer.

Apparently, the Japanese manufacturer has reportedly issued strict orders not to accept any more orders for the Suzuki Jimny from this point onward.
We do not know whether Suzuki has any plan to offer another Jimny that would produce more emissions in the future, although given the success it was enjoying, everything suggests that this will very likely be the case.
With a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine, the Jimny produced a total of 154 g/km of emissions, a figure well above the maximum 95 g/km allowed from 2021 under EU targets.

For everyone who was interested in buying a Suzuki Jimny, thanks to its incredible value for money, you now have two options. On the one hand, wait for the manufacturer to release a new version that complies with the regulations, an unknown scenario, since this is nothing more than speculation.
On the other hand, there are always excellent options, though more expensive, but of higher quality, such as the Jeep Wrangler. And if this last one is fitted with the Rubicon tuning, you will enjoy the ultimate 4×4.
