Lexus ES shows its new face at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show

News keeps coming in from the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show, where new models are unveiled that are initially aimed at the Chinese market but can also serve as a showcase for the rest of the markets. It was there, for example, that the luxury model brand of Toyota took the opportunity to present the facelift of the Lexus ES.
There is a new front grille, flanked by LED-technology headlights, which also share the L-shaped daytime running lights. The rear light clusters also use this technology. The exterior gains presence with 17-inch alloy wheels with a 20-spoke design on all versions, although the hybrid version has a ten-spoke design.
The interior gains new colours, such as Flaxen, Prachment, Status Grey and Black, available according to the buyer’s taste. In addition, a sport steering wheel helps create a more elegant and luxurious ambience. A 4.2-inch TFT screen helps control the infotainment systems and other functions that this luxury model is equipped with. The remaining controls have also been integrated into a dashboard that has become fully digital.
The new Lexus ES also features one of the brand’s new engines, a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with considerable power. New features have also been added to the safety equipment to strengthen this area, which is quite important for the subsidiary company of Toyota.
Thus, the redesigned Lexus ES now comes with a pre-collision system, brake assist, lane departure warning and automatic high beam, among other elements that enhance the safety of the vehicle’s occupants. Following this presentation, it will gradually reach the different markets where Lexus is present.
