Lexus launches the new Lexus Link, the mobile app that will keep us connected to the car
Lexus has just launched what it calls Lexus Link, a new mobile app that will keep us connected to our car
The union between smartphone and car is increasingly tangible, a partnership that brands such as Lexus constantly reaffirm. The Japanese brand presents itself as one of the most technologically advanced on the market, a reputation it is reinforcing with the arrival of Lexus Link. This name refers to a new mobile app that will both offer a greater level of connectivity with our vehicle and, at the same time, provide us with important advantages and conveniences for day-to-day life.
This innovative app will also make our “relationship” with our Lexus safer, since we will be able to manage numerous parameters. With this premise, the Japanese company aims to bring us closer to a new technology which will not only revolutionise the market itself, but also its range of models, which will gradually undergo important improvements.
Lexus Link: the app that will connect us to the car
The process offered by Lexus is as simple as downloading the app to our mobile device and linking it to the vehicle. This way, we will have access to a multitude of data, which will allow us both to obtain information and to interact with our Lexus to adjust various components to the driver’s liking and according to the circumstances.

This is how the owner will be able to control the climate remotely, geolocate their vehicle and take other measures that will look after both the safety of our car and manage the comfort it can offer. On the other hand, we will also be able to check navigation and pre-set routes from our smartphone before setting off.
Maintenance and efficiency monitoring
The Japanese company will also allow its customers to record and review the journeys the vehicle has made via Lexus Link, provided that incognito mode is not activated. With this feature, drivers will be able to calculate weekly, monthly and annual mileage, as well as check average speed, routes taken and time spent.

On the other hand, Lexus Link will also analyse the driving style we adopt, with the aim of offering a series of guidelines to reduce consumption. This will be measured based on acceleration, usage times and braking, thus enabling a real analysis that will be directly affected by our behaviour behind the wheel.
Later on, Lexus will introduce a new feature that will manage the maintenance of our vehicle, showing the actual mileage before it is carried out. This will help us know exactly when to schedule maintenance, allowing drivers to book an appointment in advance and avoid delays with servicing.
