Madrid M-30 speed cameras start fining from 76 km/h

Radares de la M-30 empiezan a multar desde los 76 km/h

In the coming days, the new speed cameras in the M-30 tunnels will start issuing fines from 76 km/h. It should be remembered that the limit there is 70 km/h, so they do not allow a 10% margin. There is no confirmed date, only a statement indicating that they will be operational soon. Therefore, when least expected, unsuspecting drivers will start receiving fines.

In total, there are 16 cameras installed in the tunnels, specifically on the By-Pass Sur for vehicles coming from the M-30, on the A-3, on the Valencia motorway for those leaving the underground section towards the Pirámides and Marqués de Vadillo roundabouts, as well as two on Avenida de Portugal, among others.

Number plate readers have also been installed at the entrances to the underground sections of the ring road, in order to prevent offences.

Madrid City Council installed the cameras back in November. Since then they have been undergoing tests and are now ready to be fully operational.

As we said before, the council has not officially given a fixed date for their activation, so the best advice is to be careful to avoid the much-hated fines…
