Mercedes Benz S350 BlueTEC 4MATIC for the United States

Last year we shared information about the S350 BlueTEC that the German manufacturer sells in the Iberian Peninsula, so it is likely that the general features of the car are known to our readers, however the North American version of this S-Class will be presented at the Detroit Show with some differences.

And although no official details have yet been released about the saloon’s features, it is known that the car will be equipped with a 3,500 cc V6 diesel engine whose peak output reaches 210 CV. Furthermore, it is assumed that the term 4MATIC indicates the availability of an all-wheel-drive system as standard.

As an extra fact, we add that Mercedes Benz is reintroducing a diesel engine in the United States after a 15-year absence. This is undoubtedly a peculiar decision, since the North American market is reluctant towards this type of powerplant, although the fuel economy figures should change this way of thinking.
