Mercedes has already revealed the first video of its new supercar, the AMG GT, successor to the now-retired SLS AMG.
Scheduled for this same year, the AMG GT still appears camouflaged, but it makes clear that this is a vehicle conceived by and for performance.
According to Mercedes, the AMG GT will be a completely monumental feat of engineering, something we have no doubt about after watching the barely 50 seconds the video lasts. Though brief, it is enough to see the AMG GT driving along winding roads, with the powerful sound of its V8 engine.
Speaking of its engine, we know this supercar will mount a 4.0 V8 with twin turbocharging. The brand is expected to offer several power levels, from 480 CV for the entry version up to 580 CV for the Black Series version, passing through 520 CV.
We do, however, know the interior of the AMG GT, since Mercedes itself showed it to us a few weeks ago. A very sporty cabin with quality and design, using first-class materials such as leather, carbon fiber, or Alcantara.
The AMG GT will hit the market to compete with well-known models such as the Porsche 911 Turbo, the Ferrari 458 Italia, or the McLaren 650S, offering against them an extra dose of feeling and passion that we don’t find in other brands.
