Mercedes CLA 45 AMG from 62,150 euros starting September

Mercedes-Benz gives us a little more information than we reported last month about the upcoming arrival of the CLA 45 AMG, including the starting price in Spain. AMG’s new four-cylinder, the most powerful four-piston engine in the world, will be available in Spain from September.

It will be the first compact four-door coupé from AMG, and a vehicle with a power output per litre of displacement that is more than impressive, at 181 hp per litre. The engine also stands out for its maximum efficiency, complying with the Euro 6 standard. The combined fuel consumption of the CLA 45 AMG in the European standardised cycle is 6.9 L/100 km.

The new CLA 45 AMG comes as standard with the variable all-wheel-drive system AMG 4MATIC, optimised to improve performance. It will have a seven-speed gearbox and, compared with the all-wheel-drive systems of its rivals, the new AMG 4MATIC system is up to 25% lighter.

Three driving programmes will be available: Manual, Sport and Controlled Efficiency. The first two are for truly enjoying the power with faster gear changes. The third is for a more relaxed drive, with minimum consumption.

The performance figures homologated by AMG give 4.6 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and a top speed of around 250 km/h, electronically limited. The sale price of the CLA 45 AMG in our country will be 62,150 euros, a price that already includes taxes.
