Mercedes S 63 AMG and CL 63 AMG: More power, less consumption

Mercedes-Benz has achieved a perfect balance in its most powerful models, the new S 63 AMG and CL 63 AMG combine a special blend of their 5.5-litre AMG V8 twin-turbo engine (571 CV and 900 Nm of torque) and its 7-speed sports gearbox Speedshift MCT AMG which allow both models to deliver maximum performance while reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
Thanks to this combination, the consumption of these two high-performance models stands at 10.5 litres per 100 kilometres, which clearly puts them ahead of their direct rivals, since these 10.5 litres represent a reduction of 25% compared with the previous V8-engined models.
In addition to the gearbox and the new V8 engine, the CL 63 AMG also comes as standard with features such as direct steering, the Torque Vectoring Brake function and crosswind stabilisation, which enhance the agility on the road and the active safety of the Mercedes coupé.
Optional equipment highlights include the active lane change assist and the active blind-spot control.
With the new engine and gearbox combination, the performance of the CL 63 AMG and S 63 AMG is that of a true sports car. The electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h and the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in 4.5 seconds make both models sports cars hidden beneath a shell of elegance and restraint.
