Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series, new spy photos

A couple of weeks ago, Mercedes dropped one of the most unexpected bombshells of the moment: the official confirmation of a Black Series version of its already thrilling SLS AMG. Now it’s time to see that the matter was far more serious than we thought.

What you’re looking at are the first spy photos of a vehicle that once again can’t easily hide its fenders, far wider than those on the standard version, or its psychedelic bumpers, designed to conceal the aggressive styling of a car that still has a lot to tell.

Under the bonnet, according to rumours, AMG has once again opted for a 6.2-litre V8 in the car you see on screen, this time with output that should easily sit above 600 hp, a dramatically higher figure that should move a vehicle lighter than the SLS AMG “normal“.
