MINI Cooper S GT Edition: a special edition only for France

The MINI Cooper S GT Edition is inspired by the classic MINI 1275 GT and will only be available in France.

MINI was not represented by any model at the Paris Motor Show, but the British brand has just launched a special edition of one of its models that will be sold exclusively in the French market. The MINI Cooper S GT Edition will be limited to 150 units and is inspired by the classic MINI 1275 GT, which was produced between 1969 and 1980. The 1275 GT had a very significant impact on the British firm in the 1970s, especially through its presence in motorsport.

Design inspired by the classic MINI 1275 GT

The MINI Cooper S GT Edition pays tribute to the aforementioned model through several exclusive design elements. The car’s bodywork comes as standard in Midnight Black Metallic, contrasting with the typical MINI stripes, in this case grey and red. On the sides you will find the GT letters of this special edition and unique design housings for the wing mirrors.

The car also features a twin red spoiler on the rear roof, a shark-fin antenna, as well as various trim pieces finished in piano black along the entire bodywork. Furthermore, the additional lights found on the front grille recall those used by the brand’s rally cars. The 18-inch alloy wheels with the John Cooper Works “Spacecraft” design come as standard on this model, as does the aerodynamic kit offered by John Cooper Works itself.

Generous standard equipment

Inside, you will find the GT letters on the door sills, as well as a 3D-printed insert on the dashboard with the following message: “GT Limited Edition”. As a model based on the Cooper S, the car comes as standard with generous standard equipment that, among other things, includes the following items:

• JCW sports seats finished in leather and Alcantara
