Mini presents a new special edition, this time the chosen models have been the Countryman and the Paceman. These versions, known as the Frozen Black, feature a special bodywork paint and some touches that set them apart from their standard versions.

This bodywork colour is applied by the Austrian company Magna Steyr, based in the city of Graz, very close to where the Countryman and the Paceman are built. The painting process is carried out mainly by hand, which involves great complexity and exclusivity.

Aesthetically, the Mini Frozen Black stands out for its matte black finish, in contrast with other elements specific to this version such as the mirrors, the darkened headlights and the specific alloy wheels. Furthermore, BMW has added, on top of the paint, a special product to treat corrosion, although keeping the paint intact requires a specific treatment that the brand makes available to its customers.

Inside the Mini Frozen Black, the changes are minimal and only include some metallic materials and darkened colours matching the exterior styling. This special edition will be available for the John Cooper Works along with the Cooper S and Cooper SD, for both the Paceman and the Countryman. Finally, BMW has not yet revealed either the number of units it will produce or the price of each one.
