MINI John Cooper Works, 231 CV of pure rage

The most beastly MINI is already here. We’re talking about the MINI John Cooper Works, the most powerful, sporty and performance-oriented version of the small Anglo-German city car.
The John Cooper Works name gives the MINI even more character, since we instantly know this is a serious machine, very serious.
In this third generation it was not going to be any different, and the MINI John Cooper Works comes loaded with technology designed to turn the driving experience into an event that makes us smile, even if it’s just a trip to do the shopping at the neighbourhood supermarket.

Starting with the exterior, we quickly realise this is no ordinary MINI. Taking the Cooper S variant as its basis, the John Cooper Works has been to the gym to offer a much more brutal and radical look. The front features a more aggressive bumper, with larger air intakes, necessary to properly cool all the mechanical load of this little rocket.
The alloy wheels also have a specific design, necessary to comfortably accommodate the tremendous braking system with four-piston fixed calipers on the front axle. The side skirts also have a sporty design, as does the rear, with a newly designed bumper and two exhaust outlets of considerable size.

Inside we find seats with a semi-bucket structure upholstered in Alcantara and leather, as well as exclusive instruments, indicative plaques and exclusive details such as the door sill trims. Everything to make driving -or piloting- a MINI John Cooper Works an unforgettable experience.
The mechanical side shines on its own thanks to the injection of power that MINI’s engineers have pulled out of their sleeve, bringing the figure to an impressive 231 CV AND 320 NM. For the first time in a MINI with the John Cooper Works name, it can be equipped with an automatic gearbox, with which it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds, while with the manual gearbox the figure stays at 6.3 seconds.
