More speed cameras and radar traffic lights in Barcelona and Madrid

The DGT has decided to increase the number of traffic lights with cameras and radar in Madrid and Barcelona. The system is placed in areas with heavy vehicle congestion, so that all drivers are monitored and anyone who fails to obey the traffic signals will be photographed by the traffic light camera.
So, using the car’s registration plate and the offence committed, the fine, which will be around 300 euros, will be processed, along with the loss of four points from the driving licence.
For now, the news is that they will be installed at the exit to the Xanadú (km 3 of the A-5) and at Plaza Norte (km 19 of the A-1), while in Barcelona the number of cameras installed at traffic lights has increased from 8 to 38.
We will keep an eye on the latest news from the DGT.
