MotOh! Barcelona 2008: New Helmets

One of the big new features at the MotOh! Show in Barcelona is the first airbag helmet, a creation by APC Systems, a Catalan company that has worked on improving motorcyclists’ safety.

This creation could revolutionise the market in terms of safety, since motorcycle accidents have recently been more frequent, with more victims and injured people.

Therefore, using this type of helmet is the first step towards greater protection for the rider, as it deploys in just 0.15 seconds, inflating a bag in the neck area so that the rider does not suffer serious injuries to the cervical spine.

The price of this marvel is 829 euros, so from the end of May all two-wheeler users will be able to buy the airbag helmet.
