New BMW X3 xDrive30e plug-in hybrid
The BMW X3 xDrive30e arrives in its plug-in hybrid version. With a solid range and power, it promises to become a sales hit.
The new BMW X3 xDrive30e is presented as the new plug-in hybrid SUV from the German manufacturer. It is the third vehicle of this class within the SUV range offered by BMW.

Expectation surrounding the model is high. It will be the first to feature variants with a combustion engine, a 100% electric and a plug-in hybrid. All under the same body. Multiple options offered by BMW aimed at covering the different needs of customers.
As is usual, the new BMW X3 xDrive30e will retain the dynamic and sporty character the brand has accustomed us to. Its handling will be fun, agile and intuitive.
It will feature the acclaimed xDrive system, which distributes torque between the front and rear wheels of the vehicle, always depending on the situation. This is one of the factors that determine its great effectiveness on all types of terrain.
A power output reaching 292 CV
If we take a look at the engine offered by this new plug-in hybrid model from BMW, we find a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder engine producing 184 CV combined with another 109 CV electric motor.

Combined, the total available power of the new BMW X3 xDrive30e amounts to 292 CV. The torque of this SUV stands at 420 Nm. It also incorporates an eight-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox.
It is capable of reaching 100 km/h in just 6.1 seconds and its top speed is limited to 210 km/h. Smart figures, more than adequate to lead this new generation.
A vehicle full of advantages
Thanks to the electric motor, the BMW X3 xDrive30e can be driven in several ways. The combustion engine can receive assistance from the latter, whereas if you wish to drive solely in electric mode, you would only need to activate MAX Drive mode.
Thanks to it we can drive in 100% electric mode at speeds of up to 135 km/h. This makes it a zero-emission vehicle, so you can access all traffic-restricted areas with it. The maximum range in 100% electric mode reaches 55 km.

Another interesting driving mode is Auto eDrive. When activated, we can drive using electric propulsion only, up to 110 km/h. Above this figure, the combustion engine would kick in.
The Battery Control programme is interesting. It allows us to hold the battery charge at any moment we wish, so we can reserve it for a specific stretch we have in mind.
Charging time from a domestic power supply is around six hours, although, if we have an iWallbox, we can reduce the time to 3 and a half hours.
As if that were not enough, it will be available in 4 trim levels: Advantage, xLine, Luxury and M Sport.
It will feature the most cutting-edge technologies and offer all kinds of personalisation and safety options.

For now we do not know its price, although the most likely outcome is that it will not be cheap. Do not expect to get hold of one for less than 50,000 euros.
BMW has not revealed further details on this matter; however, news will arrive in the coming months that will fully unveil this highly anticipated model.
