Nissan Note Nismo Black Limited Edition: spicier for the small Japanese MPV
The Nissan Note Nismo Black Limited Edition is the new special edition that will be presented at the Tokyo Motor Show with a very aggressive styling.
The Nissan Note was one of the victims of the SUV craze in the European market. Its role in the range was to fill the gap between the Nissan Micra and one of the Japanese brand’s best sellers, the Nissan Juke. The latest generation of the latter has just been unveiled, so we leave you all the figures of the new Nissan Juke.
However, few customers opted for the intermediate option, so although it was an interesting car for small families who moved around the city. In fact, our colleagues at Highmotor were already able to test the Nissan Note and their conclusion was that it was a very versatile car.
Despite everything, the Nissan Note was discontinued in the European continent in 2017. However, this does not mean that it has died worldwide, and in Japan it belongs to one of the segments with the strongest commercial pull, that of small MPVs.
The latest proof that the Nissan Note still has life ahead of it will come at the Tokyo Motor Show, whose doors open on October 24. It is at the most important event in its country that the brand’s sportiest version of its urban MPV will arrive: it will be called Nissan Note Nismo Black Limited Edition.
As its name makes clear, this is a limited edition that will complete the range of the sportier versions signed by Nismo: the Nissan Note e-Power Nismo, Note e-Power Nismo S and Note Nismo S.
The Nissan Note Nismo Black Limited Edition will have the same engines, but a different styling
Therefore, the package presented at the Tokyo Motor Show will be purely aesthetic. It will therefore incorporate a new strip running along the car’s spine, a small spoiler, and much more aggressive bumpers and skirts with red-colored extensions, as well as mirrors with touches of the same color.
This attractive combination can be configured with the two body colors that Nissan offers its customers: pearl white and dark metallic grey. In addition, the new Nissan Note Nismo Black Limited Edition comes with more complete standard equipment thanks to elements such as LED headlights, adaptive cruise control and the navigation system.
What does not change at all with respect to the rest of the versions of the Nissan Note Nismo are the engines. Therefore, in this section it will continue to use the 140 hp 1.2 three-cylinder that the Nissan Note Nismo S fits and the 110 hp hybrid powertrain of the Nissan Note e-Power Nismo S.
This launch will only be on sale in the Japanese market, a pity considering its attractive appearance combined with its practicality. The price of the Nissan Note Nismo Black Limited Edition in the Japanese market is 2,682,900 yen or, equivalently, 22,670 euros at the current exchange rate.
