Continuing with the concepts presented in Geneva, we are pleased to discuss the LIFEcar Concept developed by Morgan, whose design resembles the classic cars used by the mafia in the 1950s.

This concept uses four PEM hydrogen fuel cells developed by QinetiQ that generate electrical energy, emitting only water and heat into the environment.

The fuel cells operate at 45% efficiency, which compared with a combustion engine is a major improvement, especially when it comes to energy lost as heat.

The energy generated is delivered to the wheels through four independent motors, which are also capable of providing regenerative braking, recovering 50% of the kinetic energy used.

All the technology seen in this car was developed by Morgan in collaboration with the University of Oxford, Oscar Automotive, Cranfield University, QinetiQ and Linde AG. Another important fact is that it reaches a top speed of 136 km/h and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in less than 7 seconds.
