First official images of the interior of the new Volvo XC90
Volvo has finally begun to reveal the shape of the new XC90 generation. This time we bring you the interior, while the exterior will have to wait until August. The XC90’s cabin has been completely renewed, giving way to a truly pleasant interior.

Volvo has unveiled just a few minutes ago the first images of the interior of the new generation of the XC90, its flagship within the SUV range.
Much has happened since 2002, the year Volvo launched its first XC90, which has managed to endure to this day. Now it is time for a thorough redesign.
Volvo has decided to carry out a “reverse presentation“, that is, to start with the interior and its details, and finish with the exterior, which will be revealed in August. That is why today we bring you all the details of its cabin.

The first thing that catches the eye about this new generation is the purity of its lines. Most of the buttons and switches have disappeared, giving way to a large central touchscreen with a tablet-style structure, which will control many of the vehicle’s systems, such as climate control, driving settings, or the onboard entertainment system.
The instrument cluster is now digital and fully customisable, taking one step further in Volvo’s digital advances, which already features virtual instrumentation in other models such as the V40.

Absolutely everything is new in the interior of the second generation of the Volvo XC90. The materials have taken a huge leap forward, and now we find a dashboard that can be fully covered in leather, natural wood trim and a gear selector knob made from a single piece of crystal glass.
The seats have also been completely redesigned, with the aim of creating the most comfortable and ergonomic seats possible. They will feature electric adjustment, heating and ventilation, and even massage. Speaking of seats, the XC90 can be fitted with 7 seats, adding an extra touch of practicality.
